Day Three - Preview Party

Today is the first day of the show with the preview party in the evening.  I eventually went in to finish setting up my booth.  Then off to the Reading Terminal Market to see for myself what my friends told me about the place.  It was most amazing.  I causally strolled down the aisles taking in the pastry, vegetables, fish, and people.  Arriving at the Down Under Diner found me quickly in a booth ordering this.

This lunch completely filled me up.  It was a real treat.  I headed back through the other side of the market with a full tummy which helped get past the pastry selections.  Once back in the hall I took a meandering route back to my booth checking out the exhibits along the way.  The quality and diversity of the fine craft present was immense.  It humbled me to be in this show.  I hope the guests find my work worthy of being in this arena.

Back at my booth I turned on my lights and finished up pricing.  I still had an hour before judging started so I went to see more of the show.  Aisle after aisle of outstanding work appeared before my eyes.  I got to talk with a few artists and found some from my part of the country.  I stuck around my booth during judging in case there were any questions.  One couple with notebooks stopped in and wanted to see my desk do its thing.

Then the food thing began to happen.

For me it was a little mac and cheese and a small roll with some meat in it.  Next a serving at the mashed potato bar, topped with bacon and cheese.  That was so good I went for another.  Very rich stuff, not anything I would ordinarily consume, yummy.

After all that I went and picked up a vodka tonic.  For my back, of course.
