2014 ACC St Paul - Saturday

More attendance than Friday and in waves meaning busy periods and slow periods.  Most artists I talked with admitted passing their breakeven point with sales.  That goes for me as well making this my highest selling St Paul show in the four years I have been doing it.  And there is one more day to go.

Sometimes unpredictable events unfold at a show.  A man approached me and introduced himself as my first employee back in the day.  Indeed old memories flooded into my head as he continued to tell his story.  I had lost touch with him back in the early '80s.  He said he owes me a beer for all that I taught him about woodworking.  He and a friend had driven up from Madison especially to see the show.  He came to an exhibit of Shaker Oval Boxes and says he thought of me right away.  He looked in his copy of the program to see if I might be in this show.  How about that?
