This video shows how I sand panels, large and small. I start with 120 grit and follow with 180 grit. The belts I use are White non-loading sanding belts to resist clogging. They cut much longer that the regular resin coated belts.
The 4 x 24 belt sanders I use have graphited canvas platens that have replaced the spring metal ones that come with these sanders. The result is a cooler running belt and a smoother cut.
I have also implemented a single source dust collection system that allows me to have superior dust collection for both sanders.
